How do I do it?

I was wondering, how I could cut a picture out of a game screen,
(brawl for example) and not have all that white stuff around it.

Like raxbys sig?

I use Adobe photoshop and Corel Paint shop pro X

When you have rendered it (so taken out most of the background) there's still some white around it. And you want to get rid of that, right?

You go to layer > Matting > Defringe. Now choose how many pixels and done. Hope this helped! =3

There was still loads of bits

Then you can try to zoom in very closely and use the eareser tool. It takes a lot of time, but it works.
